WELCOME TO DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. HIGH SCHOOL MEDIA CENTER!

OVERVIEW

The Media Center has access to books, periodicals, and electronic subscription databases. Students will find help with selecting and/or choosing a research topic as well as research help. We also have access to up-to-date technology and equipment to help support the teaching curriculum. Please stop by and visit. 
 
Our mission is to equip students with skills to adapt and thrive in a competitive global landscape through the power of:
 
  • information media literacy resources
  • relevant library media services
  • reading and critical thinking activities
 
Students will discover and have access to print and digital research resources for elevation of content mastery and academic success. 
 
The library’s space is designed to accommodate group and independent study in an environment that supports personal enrichment and College and Career 
Readiness.

LOCATION AND HOURS
 
  • Old Commons Cafeteria Area
  • 7:40 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.
  • A hall pass is needed from the teacher to visit the media center during the instructional class period. No pass is needed during the student’s assigned lunch period.
