AALA Gene Henson Scholarship
The Atlanta Association of Legal Administrators (AALA) is a not-for-profit association founded in 1977. Our members are legal managers actively employed by law firms, legal departments of corporations and private institutions, and the legal divisions of government agencies as officers, directors and managers. Our mission is to provide ongoing training and continuing education for our members, and to support education in our community.
The Atlanta Association of Legal Administrators Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, sponsors a $10,000 Scholarship to be awarded to an outstanding senior enrolled in one of our local high schools who is interested in attending one of Georgia's accredited higher learning institutions. Better Business Bureau Serving Scholarship
Better Business Bureau Serving Metro Atlanta, Athens & NE Georgia is offering scholarships – valued between $1,000 and $5,000, to high school seniors who plan to obtain further education through its Students of Integrity annual scholarship program.
BBB will award scholarships to the winning high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, and ethical values. The scholarships will be awarded directly to the winners to assist their post-high school education. There is no essay or GPA requirement.
To earn a scholarship, students must submit:
1. An entry form
2. Their own video submission
3. A video recommendation from a principal, counselor, teacher, or mentor
All videos and entry forms will be accepted online until 11:55 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022.
Students are asked to record a short video describing how they build character in themselves and in others and how they will build character in the future. The video is critical and must emphasize overcoming obstacles and demonstrating ethical leadership at a young age. Community involvement, volunteer activities, awards, and honors, are all considered by a panel of judges.

GBAA Scholarship Program
The Georgia Business Aviation Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that promotes business aviation within the State of Georgia and one of the founding principles is to provide scholarships for Georgia High School graduates that are pursuing careers in aviation. Scholarship Opportunities for High School Seniors - Percy Julian Award and St. Elmo Brady Award (Deadline: April 14, 2021)
The Minority Affairs Committee of the Georgia Local Section of the American Chemical Society is pleased to announce two scholarships for under-represented students seeking to major in STEM: 2021 Percy Julian Award and 2021 St. Elmo Brady Award.
The Percy Julian award will be given to two High School Seniors (one male and one female) in recognition of scholastic achievement and leadership ability. Each recipient will receive a $550 book scholarship and a one-year (student) membership in ACS.
Qualifications for the Percy Julian award are as follows:
1. The Percy Julian award is open to African Americans, Hispanics, Native
Americans, and other racial and ethnic minorities who are traditionally underrepresented and marginalized in science.
2. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5.
3. Applicants must plan to major in a STEM (traditional science, technology, engineering, or math) discipline.
4. Applicants must plan to attend a college or university in the Fall 2020 semester.
5. Applicants must show evidence of leadership skills which promote racial, ethnic, and cultural understanding.
The St. Elmo Brady award will be given to a High School Senior in recognition of the goal of becoming a first-generation college student, their scholastic journey, personal integrity and perseverance. The recipient will receive a $600 book scholarship and a one-year (student) membership in ACS.
Qualifications for the St. Elmo Brady award are as follows:
1. The St. Elmo Brady award is open to African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, and other racial and ethnic minorities who are traditionally underrepresented and marginalized in science.
2. Applicants must be a first-generation college student (i.e, grand-parents, parents,
or siblings have not earned a bachelor’s degree or higher).
3. Applicants must have an overall unweighted STEM GPA of between 2.8
and 3.4. For 2021, SAT/ACT score submission is encouraged but not required.
4. Applicants must plan to major in a STEM (traditional science, technology,
engineering, or math) discipline.
5. Applicants must plan to attend a college or university in the Fall 2021 semester.
6. Applicants must show evidence of personal integrity and perseverance as
demonstrated through leadership skills, academics, religious or other community-
based extracurricular activities, or work-related activities.
The deadline for both applications is April 14, 2021. Recipients of the award will be notified by May 1, 2021. Awards will be presented at the American Chemical Society Georgia Local Section virtual meeting which will be held on May 11, 2021. All applicants are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Bryan Scholarship
In memory of our beloved Brother Oscar Virgil Bryan, Jr., I? ’67, a scholarship of one thousand dollars is offered annually to qualified incoming freshmen men at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The recipients will be those applicants who best exemplify the ideals of the fraternity intellectually, morally, and socially. Semifinalists will be required to attend an interview at a time and place to be announced. Winners will be announced from the remaining finalists at an awards banquet in August on the Georgia Tech campus.
Note that SAT and/or ACT scores are required for the submission of this form. You must submit your scores for at least one of the tests.
This scholarship is offered to incoming freshmen men at the Georgia Institute of Technology without regard to race, creed, color, religion, or national origin. Membership in the fraternity is NOT required. The scholarship will be payable in amounts of $500.00 per semester, for the Fall and Spring semesters of the first year the students schooling, upon proof of full-time enrollment each semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Scholarship Opportunity: We the Students Essay Contest

Annually, Iota Eta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. awards scholarships to deserving Dekalb County graduating seniors. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals who will be enrolled as undergraduate students in a college or university beginning in the Fall of 2021. Iota Eta Zeta principally targets graduating female students attending high school in the DeKalb area. Last year they awarded $2,500 in scholarships to local students.
