Principal Advisory Council Parent Election
Please review the Parent Nominees for ML King High School.
I have served on the PTA in some capacity since my son entered into Dekalb County including serving all 3 years as PTA President under Principal Marcia Scott. I am also a tutor and have been for several years, serving my Dekalb County community. It is my hope that I am utilize my skill set and experience to best help and assist the community. I just want to help and be involved, being used where needed. It's my responsibility as a parent to do so and I want to lead by example.

I’m a 20+ year educator. I currently work with an educational non-profit dedicated to providing professional learning and becoming/creating anti-racist space in the profession. I also founded an educational consulting company (STEAM PowerED) that provides accessible and meaningful support to teachers and leaders across the country. I have always volunteered with my three school-aged children’s schools and within my community. While most of my volunteer service lives in the education sector, I’ve also served to support senior citizens, local festivals, and the NAACP.
