Breast Cancer Awareness Conversation

Pink Conversations

Thanks to Ms. Martino for providing this information about Our Cancer Conversation Activities.

Happy Friday! Shout out to Mrs. Thornton for the vision and organization of this week's breast cancer awareness activities. Pink Conversation yesterday was a success. Thirty-eight female students heard our testimonies and intimate details regarding our journey.

We talked about the top three racial disparities that exist for minorities and African Americans, our guest speaker Mrs. Lewis discussed the life of a caregiver, and how her daughter Shaquita wrote the book No hair don't care to discuss the journey with her children. The students had amazing questions, and all were thought-provoking. We discovered that some of the students' family members are in the fight now. Definitely an amazing experience. Here are a few pictures from the event. Thank you for allowing me to share. Have the BEST weekend ever!
